Consultation Meeting with HEIs on Research
Policies

CHED-BU Zonal Research Center will be conducting a Consultation Meeting with HEIs on Research Policies on December 18, 2009 at BUGASS Conference Room, Bicol University, Legazpi City. Expected participant are Vice President for Research or Research Director of the 30 CHEDsupervise  HEIs.

Quantitative Research Method

The CHED-BU Zonal Research Center will sponsor a training on Quantitative Research Method on December 7-9, 2009 at the BU College of Science Auditorium, Legazpi City. The objective of this training is to equip prospective researchers with quantitative tools which they can use in the conduct of research.

National Conference on Research in Higher Education

Notice of Change of schedule was forwarded to CHED-BU Zonal Research Center by Director Jean C. Tayag stating that the National Conference on Research in Higher Education which was originally scheduled to be held in Davao City on November 19-20, 2009 will be moved to November 12-13, 2009. Chairman Angeles will be at Qatar on November 19-20 for a very important commitment.

October 28-30, 2009 - Research Proposal Preparation Workshop

A "Research Proposal Preparation Workshop" is scheduled on October 28-30, 2009 at the Bicol University College of Education Audio-Visual Room in Daraga Albay involving selected researchers from HEIs in Bicol Region (2 researchers per HEIs).  The objective of this workshop is to generate research proposals for possible funding from the CHED-ZRC.

October 16, 2009 - ZRC Orientation

The Commission on Higher Education-Bicol University Zonal Research Center (CHED-BU ZRC) conducted a ZRC Orientation last October 16, 2009 at the Bicol University College of Science Auditorium, Legazpi City to enhance the awareness and interest of higher educational institutions (HEIs) on CHED-ZRC and its Zonal Research Program (ZRP).  The heads of the HEIs together with their Graduate School Deans and Research Directors attended to this orientation.

CHED-BU ZRC meets CHED-ROV

Last September 28, 2009 CHED-BU Zonal Research Center staff headed by Dr. Arnulfo M. Mascariñas meets the CHED-ROV Director Dr. Dominador Peralta with his staff at the Bicol University Board Room to present the Zonal Research Program for Bicol and to plan for the coming activity of the CHED-BU Zonal Research Center this coming October. Review and Formulation of the ZRP for Region V

The CHED-BU ZRC conducted a Review and Formulation of the Zonal Research Program (ZRP) for Region V on August 25, 2009, participated in by the representatives of different agencies with regional coverage like the CHED ROV, NEDA, DepEd, DOST. BCIERD, UNC, ADNU, Aquinas University and private sector.
